Let’s rewind to November 3rd, 2023, in the vibrant heart of Glasgow’s City Centre, where David and Lynn took centre stage in their Citation twilight wedding extravaganza. Imagine a celebration brimming with warmth, joy, and the kind of friendly energy that all weddings should have!
Everything kicked off at 4:15 pm as guests arrived, greeted by the soothing melodies of the Capella String Quartet at the Taverne Bar. With 170 seats thoughtfully arranged across the Merchant Suite, friends and family settled in, eagerly awaiting the ceremony.
At 4:45 pm, anticipation filled the air as guests took their seats for the main event. Projected on screens for everyone to see, David and Lynn's ceremony unfolded beautifully, accompanied by the sweet sounds of the Capella Quartet, positioned perfectly to enhance the atmosphere. Sandy Geddes, the celebrant, guided the proceedings with grace and warmth, ensuring that every moment was filled with love and laughter. As 5:30 pm rolled around, cheers erupted as David and Lynn sealed their love with a kiss, marking the start of a new chapter in their lives.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way back to the Taverne Bar for a delightful drinks reception, which included special cocktails in memory of Lynn’s Dad and mouthwatering canapés. The mood was light and joyful, with the acoustic tunes of Mojo Switch adding an extra layer of magic to the atmosphere.
During this time, I stole David & Lynn away for a stroll around Glasgow for nighttime portraits. They were so happy and relaxed; it made it very easy to capture some lovely memories of them both on their big day.
As twilight descended, the celebration continued with a sumptuous buffet served in the Merchant Suite at 6:30 pm, accompanied by the band Mojo Switch in the Taverne Bar. Laughter and conversation filled the air as guests indulged in delicious food and heartfelt conversations.
At 7:45 pm, guests were invited back to the Taverne Bar for the evening's festivities. The evening kicked off with speeches, headed up by a very impressive speech by Lynn’s eldest daughter and the joyous moment of cake cutting at 8:00 pm, followed by David and Lynn's magical first dance at 8:30 pm, surrounded by the love and support of their cherished guests.
As the night drew to a close, David and Lynn's twilight wedding had left an indelible mark on all who attended—a celebration of love, laughter, and the unforgettable moments that make life truly magical.
